In the 1980s in Quebec, 10-year-old Jo, inspired by her favorite cartoon heroine, dreams of rescuing her unhappy father. With her three sisters and a busy mother around her, she discovers a supportive figure in Monsieur Roger, their gruff neighbor who conceals a gentle heart.
